2025 New Year's resolutions reviewed
How did I do? I thought it might be fun to visualise my progress through a kanban board, but in hindsight this was a classic procrastination technique—made worse by me picking up the flu at the start of the year, followed by a bad cold, which pushed this back even further (appparently, the average UK adult picks up two to four colds per year so hopefully no more sickness for me now…). Anyhow, without further ado, please find my progress below:
What I think I want may not be what I truly want.

Well said. Many of my 2025 goals were “nice-to-haves” e.g. it would be great if I could do a handstand, but I’m not bothered either way. And so, while my overall performance against my 2025 New Year’s Resolutions seems subpar, my 2025 went pretty well. I also achieved some secret goals which meant a lot to me so that’s great, too.
For 2026, I am hoping to be a bit more productive and entrepreneurial. 2025 featured bad sleeping habits, an overreliance on coffee, and an eagerness to use every spare moment on my job. I want to use 2026 to build myself a healthy sleep routine (for the first time in my life) to springboard my energy levels and better direct my time towards my own projects.
